Biography - Lou Stratten

LOU STRATTEN started singing before she was speaking. Her first Opera coach was with Judith dePaul at Carnegie Recital Hall in New York City that led to performances with the New York Gilbert and Sullivan players and the Bell Canto Opera Company. She has co-starred in several TV shows and has performed with Nell Carter on "You Take the Kids". Her first Co-starring role was on Designing Women and her first reoccurring role was on Ryan's Hope.

  • BA in Theater and music/minor with Honors from Hunter College in New York City
  • Early Childhood Certificate - Santa Monica College- with 27 units
  • PLUS:
    • 4 core classes (over 138 hrs in the classroom supervised).
    • 6 Special Units in Special Education
    • Infant/toddler growth and development
  • Music Educator in over 20 pre-schools in the L. A. Area.
